The Joya cork model is manufactured in the South-West of France in a family factory labeled Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant.
By controlling the entire transformation chain, the workshop has been able to make the most of this raw material and uses it for multiple uses including the creation of everyday objects.

The cork used to make our stool comes from a mixture of cork oak bark taken directly from the tree and cork scraps from the recycling of wine corks. The cork is then ground, crushed, calibrated and cleaned to obtain agglomerated cork. The lower part of the stool is made by molding a regular cylinder, then turned to obtain its conical shape. Each piece is therefore unique.
