Hervet Manufacturer
BIOGRAPHY
Hervet Manufacturier is the sum of the know-how acquired and passed down over more than four generations of Hervet.
As youngsters, the two Hervet cousins, Cédric (1974) and Nicolas (1976), already inseparable and creative, began making their own furniture. They then learned their trade by taking different paths in life, a way for each of them to assert themselves and make a place for themselves in the Hervet lineage.
Recognized by his peers and distinguished on multiple occasions for his work, Nicolas has remained in his core business. After the Boulle School of Applied Arts in Paris, Cédric took some time away from the Wood industry to get closer to the world of music and develop his creative vision as Artistic Director of Daft Punk.
Until 2008, when Nicolas designed an exceptional desk for his cousin, a founding piece.
At that time, Cédric Hervet needed a quality, ergonomic and elegant piece of furniture for his post-production work, particularly with the legendary robot duo.
This unique piece reflects the perfect collaboration between the two men. It was the trigger. From this master's desk was born the idea of HERVET Manufacturier.
It is now under this signature that the two Hervet cousins design furniture in meticulous respect for traditional techniques of carpentry, cabinetmaking, marquetry and saddlery, using with moderation what planet Earth has to offer that is most beautiful and durable: exotic woods, full-grain leathers, metals...
